So many of you know that Josh and I recently bought a house in saratoga springs. We love the house but we really don't have a back yard. We do have a bigger side yard, but it is on a hill. Next to use on the south side is an empty lot. We had planned on purchasing this lot so we could have a better side lot. Recently there have been some developments. We noticed on Wednesday that someone was putting a fence up in our back yard. We thought that they were fencing off the vacant lot but they did our whole back fence. That wasn't so bad. Less fence we have to pay for. While they were working on the fence we went out to talk to them. We asked them why they were putting up the fence. They said that a company called Subdivision INC. told them too and that this company had also purchase some of the empty lots. Bummer. But we still had our hopes up about the next door lot. The next door lot is shaped like a triangle. There is not much room for a driveway and you would basically have no yard. Not the best space in my opinion to build. We thought this would help us.
Last night we had someone come and look at the lot. We asked them how many lots had been sold. They told us that it looks like all of them had been sold. Scares us even more. We called our real-estate agent and he told us that the empty lots had been sold. We wanted to call the company to ask them how much the lot next door would be but it was way to late to get an answer. I asked my real-estate agent how much he thought they would sell it for. He told me that they bought the land they are building on for $60,000. He sad he would guess about $30,000 to $50,000. Double POOP! Now we are hoping that the one ticked Josh's parents got from the Idaho lottery will help. Most likely not. We are good with bad percentages just not good ones. AKA: CDH reoccurring in the same family( (2%). If only.
