Ally update!

So we are into day 4 of Allyson's hospital stay and it appears it will be a lot more days before we leave. First of all, she is stable, just not getting better. She is still on the ventilator and on the paralytic medicine. They have turned the paralytic off the last two days, but she doesn't tolerate movement well and drops her oxygen saturations after a while. She continues to have little episodes daily, usually not severe but she has to get ventilated with an ambu-bag while she gets suctioned. Her cold is causing the most problems. The nurses suction her nose and chest several times a day (usually during one of her episodes) and have been removing a lot of mucus. So in short, she's not getting any worse, but not not getting any better either. No one can give an estimate of how long she will be in the ICU or the hospital for that matter, but our goal is to have her home by her birthday, although she may not be up to her party. I'll continue to update every couple days or so, unless something 'big' happens.
