Ally Update!
We are now on day 11 of Allyson's hospital stay. She is finally starting to make progress, but is still in ICU. Today was a good day. She got taken of the oscilator and put on the regular ventilator, which means she is doing more breathing on her own. Also her nitric oxide, which helps open blood vessels in her heart to help relieve pressure, was turned down from 20 to 10, which means she is doing better on her own with her pulmonary hypertension. They placed a feeding tube yesterday and started feeding her formula today. Surgery decided it had been long enough since her surgery to let her intestines try to work on their own again. We are still a few days out from leaving ICU and even more from leaving the hospital, but she is starting to make progress. Thank you all so much for the support and prayers on Ally's (and our) behalf. The result has been felt.
